As a MOTIVATIONAL guitar teacher, all of my teaching will center around not only learning the basics of playing the guitar, but also to help build self-confidence in my students. I will strive to help my students learn to SING and PLAY guitar at the same time. Most musicians today either play or sing, not both. By learning this ability early in the student's training, they will become more confident, and ultimately become a more valued member of a music group.

Most teachers start music lessons with learning to read notes, and endless scales. This tends to be very tedious, and burns out students early on in their studies. My technique for teaching guitar is what is known as the "CAGED Chord" method. This technique initially teaches students how to “speak” the language of the guitar with chords (not notes), before learning to read and write (just like a baby learns). Using this method all students will be playing songs almost immediately.
